Promethean Presents World of Integrated Learning at EduTECH 2018
(Sydney, 7-8 June 2018) – Award winning, global education technology company Promethean®, will be returning to the largest education exhibition in Asia-Pac and the Southern Hemisphere this month. Positioned on Stand 414, the Promethean team of technical experts will be on hand to offer pedagogical and networking advice, showcasing the latest ActivPanelâ portfolio and launching the much anticipated 2018 grant competition.
In 2017, eleven ANZ schools received the grant for a state of the art ActivPanel from the competition. This year, delegates will have a chance winning one of 15 front-of-class display solutions for their school or college. As the connected hub of the classroom, the ActivPanel supports the creative and engaging delivery of a wide range of curriculum subjects.
Visitors to the stand will also benefit from learning how Promethean’s industry-leading interactive displays are transforming the front-of-classroom experience around the world and how education professionals can discover Promethean’s suite of teaching and lesson delivery software that leverages technology to energise the learning environment.
Promethean’s stand will also feature a rolling seminar programme delivered by teachers that will provide tips using features such as student device mirroring and the instant whiteboard. The ActivPanel’s unique screen technology will be shown on stand to demonstrate to delegates how precision and accuracy, combined with handwriting and equation recognition, provide the industry’s most elegant writing experience.
Promethean’s experts will be joined on Stand 414 by winners of the 2017 Promethean Grant. They will take the opportunity to share how they are experiencing the benefits of collaboration with the use of the ActivPanel in their lessons.
Additionally, taking to the stage as part of the EduTECH speaker programme, Promethean’s Senior Education Consultant, Dr. John Collick will be delivering a session titled “Mind Games.” “Mind Games” will take a look at how and why game-based and immersive learning is effective. Taking place at 10:10am on Friday 8th June, Dr. Collick will address how game-based learning is increasingly being used in the classroom to motivate students and develop compelling and exciting learning scenarios when combined with interactive technologies to increase collaboration.
Dr. Collick said: ”EduTECH is a great platform to share our 20 years of international knowledge and experience in helping educators around the world to create exciting, engaging and, stimulating classroom interactivity.
“My session will explore new trends in immersive learning and will take into account the latest developments in neuroscience and research on how the brain develops. It will also discuss how games tap into several key areas of the mind in a way that drastically enhances the ability to process information, coding experience, and develop skills and understanding – all progressive and need to know information for today’s teaching professionals.”
All visitors to Promethean’s stand will also have the opportunity to enter into a free prize drawing to win a Virtuali-Tee, an augmented reality t-shirt. With three t-shirts up for grabs each day, delegates simply have to have their badge scanned by Promethean’s team to be entered into the free draw. Winners will be announced at Stand 414 at 4:00pm on each day of the exhibition.
